What is a Transportation Safety Action Plan?

A Transportation Safety Action Plan (TSAP) is a strategic plan that will help guide Washington County's investment in improving safety on our roads, streets and trails. In coordination with Metro and regional partners, the County is creating a TSAP through a federal Safe Streets for All (SS4A) grant

What will the TSAP include?

  • A review of the County's current transportation safety policies and processes
  • Goals and targets related to reducing and/or eliminating fatal and severe crashes
  • Safety policies, strategies and actions that will help make the County's transportation system safer for everyone, especially our most vulnerable road users
  • Methods for tracking progress towards safety.
